Kathy Mitchell: Elk Grove, CA, United States; When I was 9 years old I learned to sew from my beloved grandmother. She gave me a wonderful gift and now I enjoy passing it on to a new generation of children. I am a licensed Kids Can Sew Instructor teaching children ages 7-16 the Kids Can Sew and Fashion Design Program since 1991. My school is independently owned and operated and is organized in the following manner. Classes are 1 hour long and are held on Wed or Thurs at 3, 4, or 5 PM. Class size is limited to 4 students. The cost of the class is $90 for the 1st month(includes pattern packet and small pouch project for 1st class) and class fee is $50 a month thereafter. Classes are on going through out the year. The cost is the same each month and is due at the end of each month for the following month. I love teaching the children to sew their own clothes, quilts, dolls, pillows and more.
